Vanessa Jade is a South Coast-based singer-songwriter known for her ability to captivate listeners with her heartfelt melodies and unforgettable voice. Her music lingers long after the final note, drawing audiences into deeply personal and universal stories.
You may know her from Sydney indie group Hot Spoke (Mercury Records) or the EMI supergroup A-Sides Club, which featured members of Boy & Bear, All Our Exes Live in Texas, and The Whitlams. As a songwriter, Vanessa has collaborated with celebrated artists like Lee Alexander (Norah Jones), Josh Pyke, Nic Cester (Jet), Isabella Manfredi (The Preatures), Toby Martin (Youth Group), and Alex Lloyd. She has also performed alongside acts like The Preatures, Lisa Mitchell, Kasey Chambers, and Holy Holy.
Her projects, including Hot Spoke and her solo work as QUINN, have received airplay on Triple J, Rage, and MTV. A standout moment in her career came with her cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” (recorded with A-Sides Club), which amassed over 7.5 million Spotify streams and was hailed by CCR themselves as a “beautiful new project.” Her cover of Vance Joy’s “Mess Is Mine” also caught the Vance Joy’s attention, who described it as a “beautiful cover” and posted on his instagram.
Vanessa’s latest venture, Caliko, with singer-songwriter Paul Greene, has already drawn attention with three singles earning invitations to perform at Majors Creek Festival and the prestigious Woodford Folk Festival in 2024.
This year, Vanessa is set to record and release her debut solo album, collaborating with legendary Australian producer Nash Chambers. The project will see her splitting her time between Australia and Nashville, a move that promises to bring a fresh, global perspective to her deeply rooted storytelling and sound.
